Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information LoopTrack ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. LoopTrack is operated by Steve Giscombe. By using LoopTrack, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address (used for sign-in via magic link, and for account-related communication)
- Your name, if you provide it
Career and job search data you provide
- Resumes and supporting documents you upload or paste in
- Job descriptions, company names, and application details you track
- Behavioral interview stories, target role, target companies, and career history
- Interview practice transcripts — your typed or spoken answers, and the AI's feedback on them
Usage data
- Feature usage events (e.g. which tools you use, how often) — used for product analytics and to enforce tier usage limits, stored in our own database, not shared with third-party ad networks
- Basic technical data (sign-in timestamps) needed to operate accounts securely
We don't use third-party advertising trackers or sell any data to advertisers. We don't currently use cookie-based analytics — the analytics we collect are first-party, stored in our own database, and used only to operate and improve LoopTrack.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — track your applications, generate AI feedback, run practice sessions, and so on
- To enforce subscription tier limits and manage your account
- To send account-related email (sign-in links, product notifications you've opted into)
- To maintain and improve the reliability and quality of the Service
- To respond to support requests
3. Third-party processors — who else sees your data
We use a small number of third-party services to operate LoopTrack. Each only receives the data necessary to perform its function:
Notably: when you use AI features (resume review, job-fit scoring, prep briefs, practice, company info), the relevant content — your resume, the job description, your practice answers — is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. We don't control Anthropic's own data handling beyond what they've committed to in their API terms; if you have concerns about specific content, avoid submitting it.
We don't sell your personal information to anyone, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we delete your personal data from our active systems (backups are purged on a rolling schedule and may take longer to fully clear). You can request deletion at any time — see "Your rights" below.
5. Your rights and choices
- Export: you can export your jobs and stories from Settings at any time.
- Delete your data: Settings includes a "delete all data" option that removes your jobs, stories, interviews, and profile information.
- Delete your account entirely: email customerservice@looptrack.ai and we'll delete your account and associated data. We're a small team, so this is currently a manual process — we'll confirm once it's done, typically within a few business days.
- Access or correct your data: most of your data is directly editable in the app; for anything else, email us.
If you're located in the EU, UK, or a US state with its own privacy law (e.g. California), you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or state law (such as the right to data portability or to object to certain processing). Contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate the request even where not strictly required.
6. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest via our infrastructure provider (Supabase). Access to your account data is restricted by row-level security policies so that, in general, only you (and your organization's admins, if you're part of one) can see it. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Children's privacy
LoopTrack is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, notify you directly.
